The original judging panel behind the new T-pylon design has visited National Grid’s training academy in Eakring for a first glimpse of the fully-constructed towers.
Since the international design competition (organised by theDECC, RIBA and National Grid) was held in 2011, work has progressed rapidly, resulting in a family of six T-pylons spanning a small part of the Nottinghamshire countryside.
Director of Green Planning Studio Ltd, Ruth Reed, was one of the original Judges for the competition in 2011 to find a new design to replace the traditional Lattice Pylon. Ruth is featured in the National Grid video above and is pictured right in the photograph
For a few days Green Planning Studio has been undergoing upgrades to its Internet connection and Telephone system.
Our Broadband has been upgraded to Fibre on two lines and our existing ISDN telephone lines have been switched to Fibre Broadband as well. This gives us great capacity to exchange data and for making and receiving calls.
With the telephone system upgrade we can handle more concurrent calls making us more available when you can.
All of these upgrades will help us to work more effectively on your behalf.
