Green Planning Studio (GPS) undertakes Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), on behalf of clients with properties or proposed developments within or that border upon Flood Zones 2 & 3.
All Flood Risk Assessments are compliant National Planning Policy Framework – March 2012 (NPPF) and are in accordance with the Technical Guidance to the NPPF in determining the risks posed by Flood Events (FEs) on both the occupiers and potential infrastructure of the site and in particular the Safe Access/Egress Routes to the site from:
- Rivers and streams
- Groundwater
- Coastal waters
We provide Flood Risk Assessments that assess the potential impacts of Climate Change over the life of the development and any adverse impacts on existing drainage in the vicinity of the site.
We can also undertake any necessary Flood Management Plans (FMPs) required to alleviate any unacceptable risks identified as well as offering a bespoke service to produce cost-effective and sustainable solutions that can address any specific Planning Conditions imposed by the local authority in response to an elevated risk of a Flood Event at the site.
